- How beautiful upon the mountains
- are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
- who brings good news,
- who announces salvation,
- who says to Zion, "Your God reigns."
- Listen! Your sentinels lift up their voices,
- together they sing for joy;
- for in plain sight they see
- the return of the LORD to Zion.
- Break forth together into singing,
- you ruins of Jerusalem;
- for the LORD has comforted his people,
- he has redeemed Jerusalem.
- The LORD has bared his holy arm
- before the eyes of all the nations;
- and all the ends of the earth shall see
- the salvation of our God. Isaiah 52:7-10
- Upon the Mountains
- From this height the fragile world
- is soft, rounder and ever so quiet
- crystal water and thin sweet air
- we see for a moment with God's eyes.
- The songs we sing as morning breaks
- float through the air and catch in trees
- water rushes from white melting snow
- we are renewed so close to the sky.
- Gathering the strength and courage
- to descend to the depths of brokenness
- we carry the new songs of love's promise
- to fragile people starving for good news.
- We wish to linger in the thin sweet air
- and keep our hearts unsoiled and strong
- but we are here to gather love's blossoms
- and to spread the petals across our world.

Creative and encouraging reflection and conversation about life, family, faith and laughter. I offer these reflections and prayers as an invitation for us all to pray in these times. May we pray for one another and for the whole world together.
