A New Song - Mary Letter Day 26

O sing to the
Lord a new
song, for he
 has done
marvelous
things.
His right hand
 and his holy
 arm  have
 gained him
victory.
The Lord has
 made known
 his victory;
 he has revealed his vindication in the sight of the nations.
He has remembered his steadfast love
 and faithfulness
   to the house of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have seen
   the victory of our God.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
   break forth into joyous song and sing praises.
Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre,
   with the lyre and the sound of melody.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
   make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord.

Let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
   the world and those who live in it.
Let the floods clap their hands;
   let the hills sing together for joy
at the presence of the Lord, for he is coming
   to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
   and the peoples with equity.

Dear Momma and Poppa,

my heart is so full! Our trip was arduous, but we made it fine
and whole in to Bethlehem. When we arrived the town was
swarmed with people so there was no place for us to stay!
Joseph had been very careful with our money, so we could
afford an inn. There were none to be had! We finally were
offered clean straw and blankets and room in an inn's stable!
We were so tired and grateful at that point! Almost
immediately my pains started and Miriam, one of the innkeepers,
went and got the local wise women who helped me through
the birth. He is perfect and Joseph was so brave throughout.
Everyone here has been showering us with food and small
presents!

We have had some extraordinary visitors as well. People have
crowded in to this small stable because an extraordinarily bright
star has appeared above us. Folks want to see this wondrous
little boy, and stories are being told already about his importance
and miraculous life. Some want him to be the one who frees us
from the Roman occupation! I tell them to let him grow and then
see what he becomes! Some folks have come singing strange,
wonderful new songs to our little son. Oh, you will just love him
when you see him! I know it will be very soon!

I so wished to be home for the delivery, but God has kept
us safe and warm throughout. I miss you both so very much!

love

Mary
