Mary Letter Day 35

Show us your mercy, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.
I will listen, O LORD God, to what you are saying, for you are speaking peace to your faithful people
and to those who turn their hearts to you.
Truly, your salvation is very near to those who fear you, that your glory may dwell in our land.
Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Truth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
O LORD, you will indeed grant prosperity, and our land will yield its increase.
Righteousness shall go before you, and peace shall be a pathway for your feet.

Dear Momma and Papa,

It looks like early this week we may be able to start our trip home. I am so excited! There is but one small thing Joseph has to do and then we can pack and be on our way. As long as the weather holds, it shouldn't take us too long to return. Last night, Joseph was worried that the towns people might still be angry with us. Do we need to settle elsewhere, or can we come home permanently? We have prayed every night for a safe and quick return. It seems our prayers might soon be answered.

Our hosts have been so kind to us. I was so terrified of being far away from home when the time came, yet God provided all that we needed in abundance. Jesus thinks the folks here are real relatives and easily goes into their arms. His smile is so radiant and his laugh so infectious that everyone hangs around here, even when they have things to do. Some of the men even come by and sing him the songs of King David. The women join in too! He jumps and waves his arms while they are singing. He is either conducting them, or dancing for the Lord. Oh, Momma and Papa, I can't wait to share him with you.

love,

Mary
